Fun InWorld Activities

Dive World: Go SCUBA Diving!

Location: Dive World (144,99,52)

This is a great example of terrific use of an island, both land and water!

Christmas Fun

Location: Antiqua Paradise (61,210,698)

Well 'tis the season to be jolly, and from what I've seen this week in Second Life, there are some folks that have worked their talents beyond expectations to create amazing and wonderful Christmas and holiday things!

October Country

Location: October Country (128,128,32)

**UDPATE** October Country was closed down On Feb 13, 2009 by it's owner. This left a lot of fans with no place to go, and as the groups also get deleted, no way to connect. A new group called "October Undead" has been created for fans of the old October Country to be able to be in touch and maybe have an event or two in the wondering gypsy campfire style.
**----------------**

An entire sim of haunted fun, plus a neat bonus: old-time radio programs are playing everywhere in this sim most times of the day. Martian Wei, owner and creator of October Country, not only has a splendid sense of macabre humor, he has excellent taste in old radio shows. "Night Fall" and "Radio Mystery Theater" are just two of many of the series and shows you can hear there.

See the Sky News studio in Second Life

One of the first (or the first?) full TV studios constructed in SL belongs to Sky News International. From the story and video on their web site, they have already done a full simul-cast from the live studio and SL studio, complete with avatars for all the guests on the show.

The Grand Planatarium

Location: Ginsberg (140,220,37)

When you teleport in, for a moment it seems a bit disorienting... after all, at first you can tell if you are standing on a floor of floating in space. And then, it's mesmerizing. Either bench works well as the largest viewing point, perfect for you and a friend on tour.

Golfing at the Holly Kai Golf Resort in Second Life

Hollwood (167,250,21) - Golfing
Hollwood (144,53,25) - Telehub (to see the whole island)
The sim named Hollywood offers much to the sportsman: Golfing as well as sailing (and another entry on that is forthcoming!).

The same events listings you can get while in-world you can now get on Linden Lab's Second Life official web site. You can even select event types (categories) to get past all the yard sales. :)

The Dancing Tree

Dancing like a Pro!
Kula 3 (223,41,80)

The Dancing Tree was a delightful suprise to find. Not only does it offer four levels of dancing and a fantastic view (the sunsets while dancing and the starry night skies are just fabulous!), but the dance animation are excellent. The music is also a delight!
