**UDPATE** October Country was closed down On Feb 13, 2009 by it's owner. This left a lot of fans with no place to go, and as the groups also get deleted, no way to connect. A new group called "October Undead" has been created for fans of the old October Country to be able to be in touch and maybe have an event or two in the wondering gypsy campfire style.

An entire sim of haunted fun, plus a neat bonus: old-time radio programs are playing everywhere in this sim most times of the day. Martian Wei, owner and creator of October Country, not only has a splendid sense of macabre humor, he has excellent taste in old radio shows. "Night Fall" and "Radio Mystery Theater" are just two of many of the series and shows you can hear there.

Two fabulous campfire settings, a creepy hotel (you can really rent a room!) with live performances and parties in the bar and lounge, ghosts and monsters (can you find the giant Cthulhu creature!?), and a small town ala H.P. Lovecraft are just some of the nifty places and things you'll find while exploring October Country.

A fun place to relax, spend some time and chat or maybe just clean out the old inventory while enjoying the scenery and old time mystery radio shows.

A recommended visit. It's become one of my favorite hangouts. Maybe I'll see you there - look for me in my skeleton avi!
